The active ingredients of fennel strengthen the digestive power, have a stomach-tonic effect, promote the mobility of the gastrointestinal tract and, in higher concentrations, are antispasmodic. In addition, the essential oils promote blood circulation and stimulate the liver and kidneys. Terpenoids can also help lower cholesterol levels.

The effects of the classic spice in the German-speaking area are primarily attributable to the essential oil. Caraway supports the stomach and intestines in the digestion of fatty and flatulent foods, so it acts as a stomachicum by promoting the secretion of gastric juice. Because of its spasmolytic properties, it is widely used to relieve gas, bloating, and colic.

Stinging nettle
By stimulating the entire body metabolism, the medicinal plant has a diuretic, metabolism-enhancing, blood-forming, blood-cleansing, secretion-promoting bile and pancreas, digestion-regulating and general function-enhancing effect. The essential oil has a spasmolytic and diuretic effect and thus supports the work of the kidneys. The plant strengthens the liver in its detoxification work and is therefore often used for spleen and liver problems. The contained bioflavonoids prevent gallstone formation.

millet, one of the sweet grasses, contains in the germ a concentrated load of minerals (a lot of silica, magnesium, potassium, calcium), trace elements (copper, zinc, fluorine, sulfur, phosphorus), vitamins (B1, B2, B3 , B6, B5, B9, B17, C and E), amino acids (lysine and lecithin) and proteins. Brown millet is well suited to prevent, and even reverse, acidification and slagging.

The beetroot has an alkaline metabolism. The violet-red, water-soluble pigment betanin belongs to the group of polyphenols.
